Old English bantams were developed in England many years ago presumably from the common crossbred bantams of the countryside. Fawn Silver Old English bantam chicks have light brown on the top of their head and back with two white streaks down the back. They have white wing tips, faces, abdomens and chests. They have single combs and clean, white legs and feet. Adults have similar genetic makeup and plumage pattern as Silver Duckwings with the addition of the dun or fawn (I-D) gene, which dilutes the black color producing a creamy brown color.
