Blue Swedish Ducks are a medium sized duck that lay very well and have adequate meat. The front of the breast is pure white forming a distinctive heart shaped bib, which is about 4-5 inches wide at the base. The blue color is the result of the heterozygous combination of the blue (Bl) gene. When blue drakes are mated to blue hens, the result will be in a ratio of 1 black, 2 blue and 1 splash (white with a blue cast).
